March 13th, 2019 – Gregory Kucherkov, the CEO and founder of the #cryptocurrency real estate startup Cornerstone has been kidnapped in Kiev, Ukraine.
The abduction was captured by a security camera which shows Kucherkov being taken near his home.
The footage shows two men accosting him, one of them pointing a gun, and forcing him into a van.
Kucherkov is the CEO, founder and a major investor in Cornerstone – a technology-enabled real estate investment platform. The company plans to invest in real-estate in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and worldwide.
Currently Cornerstone is preparing for an ICO, and has already obtained funds, which the local police believe may be the reason of the kidnapping.
Gregory, who is Ukrainian, has been living in New York City and Kiev. Recently he has been living and working in Ukraine because of his involvement in the Cornerstone project.
No contacts were made, and the alleged reason is a buyout.
